Blind tasting is a very difficult exercise that requires a lot of knowledge and plenty of skill. Sommeliers tend to love it and hate it at the same time. Blind tasting is fun to do but it is no fun getting it wrong. It is always a bit of a gamble and you never know how it is going to play out. Saying that there are ways of making it slightly less difficult. Here are some useful tips on how to approach blind tasting and how to make it less of a gamble.



2015 vintage report


It is good moment to gather first information and opinions on vintage 2015. The work in the vineyards of Europe is done and now it is all down to the winemakers. It is far too early to judge the quality of the wines as those are just being made but let’s check what the industry says about the fascinating 2015.


Throwback to Obsession 12

Slowly getting ready for the epic Obsession 16  but in the meantime recalling some of my favorite wine & food pairings of the Obsession 12  . I have picked my most memorable dishes out of 10 different menus and put them together as „My Perfect Obsession 12 Menu” with 3 starters, 3 main courses and 3 desserts. It has been almost 4 years but I still remember the taste of those amazing dishes.
